I have been reluctant to update this blog because we had a tragedy in our family and it hurts my heart to recall it. Mike's sister and brother in law lost thier 2 year old son Hunter James, in a horrible accident on November 7th. When we heard the news we immediately packed our things and drove up to Northern California. Hunter was a little angel, with big brown endearing eyes that could look into your soul. He always had a smile on his face and he was no ordinary kid, he didn't like normal toys, he liked the vacuum (the real one, toy vacuums just didn't cut it) he was a little helper, and loved to ride on the quad with daddy and help him in the yard. He will forever be in our hearts and I know he is up in heaven with Jesus looking down on us now. We love you Hunter.
We spent two months in Nor Cal, visiting family and doing what we could to help with the healing process and getting through the holidays. It was really nice to be around family especially to get Maverick aquainted with everyone. We went to the cabin in Tahoe a couple times and it was a winter wonderland up there, I have never seen it so beautiful. Mike made a sled trail for all the kids and they had a blast!
It is nice to be back home in San Clemente, not living out of our suitcases anymore. I felt like we were gypsy's for 2 months, Maverick spent half his life so far up there! He is growing so fast! We got out some of his toys that our neighbor gave us and he is loving all of them, the jumper, swing and bumbo seat! We are beginning to realize how our house is not baby proof and we need to work on that!! I'll post some recent pix of him soon. . .
